About us

Everything stars with Why

Why we do what we do, how we bring our ideas to life, and what we want to create to achieve our goals. These are the three questions we always ask ourselves when starting a new project. This methodology is called “The Golden Circle,” and it’s our way of designing.

"Uai" is the phonetic spelling of “why” in English, and it also sounds like “guay” in Spanish—something cool, surprising, or well done.

We have been creating designs for our clients for the past twenty years, and we continue to learn and discover new ways to communicate, to think—new connections that are constantly shifting in our world.

Our "Why" is to transform the environment around us, making it more orderly and easier to understand. We live in a world that constantly sends signals in the form of images, sounds, smells, or even tactile cues. But these aren’t the only ways people perceive brands—people need to feel consistency and coherence across all of these signals. When that doesn’t happen, people become confused, and as a result, they don’t feel comfortable or confident in a brand.

Our clients need help communicating with the world. We work closely with them to find answers to the questions “Why, How, What” through various workshops that explore how their brand is perceived—by leadership, internally, and externally. We organize all this information and translate it into typographic, chromatic, and symbolic references. The client reviews this process and lets us know whether those results are on target. If so, we move on to the next phase.

Logo design, editorial design, web design, corporate guidelines, presentation design—we create all the tools needed for their business, brand, or any project they’re involved in.

The design phase begins with all the information we’ve gathered together. The result should be a brand that is consistent, coherent, and recognizable—both aesthetically and functionally.
